About this assignment

We are looking for someone experienced with dogs and cats to mind our 2 dogs and 4 cats for 2 weeks in mid June whilst we are visiting family abroad.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We would like the house sitter to:
- feed and let the cats out in the morning and let them back in and feed them in the evening
- go for a short walk and feed the dogs in the morning (they usually stay in their outdoors kennel during the day), then take them for longer walk in the evening. They chill with us in the living room in the evening.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are living in Tralee which is the capital of beautiful county Kerry in South West of Ireland. Picturesque villages and towns, beautiful beaches and mountains are all within 20 minutes to 1 hour drive away.
Our house is cosy with all modern amenities, we have high-speed Internet so it would suit anyone working from home. We also grow fruit and veg in our polytunnel and garden, if there is any produce ready to eat you are very welcome to it.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our cats are very easy going and require minimal input.
Our 2 border collie mixes are very loving and friendly once they get a chance to meet the person, but they are also very nervous dogs - other animals including, 3 out of our own 4 cats, make them very anxious, so walking them requires having them on the leash at all times. We usually take them for a walk in a secluded area behind our house where there is a lesser chance to meet other dog walkers.
