We live in a 16 acre property in the western part of the Huon Valley, about 50 mins drive from Hobart. My partner Lauren and I have been here for 3 years and love the quiet, the view from the top of our hill, and country living in general. We are currently caring for 5 cows, our pooch Rosie, our cat Hunter and our 7 month old baby Sophie (don't worry, she's coming away with us :)We're looking for someone to care for our home and our animals for about 15 days while we visit family in Sydney and have a quick sun session in Cairns. Feeding the animals should take less than 15 mins per day. We have a warm and comfy house, with satellite internet, tv, wood fire and heat pumps (air conditioners). We'd love someone who treats our house and animals with respect, as they would their own.
Pets & farm animals
Rosie our dog is 3 years old, and we think she is black lab x collie x beagle. She loves people. Hunter our cat is about 5 and doesn't like Rosie that much, but also loves pats. We have a mob of 4 short dexter x wagyu cows and 1 baldy steer who need hay every day or two.
House Tasks
Feed the cows, feed the dog and the cat. Grab the mail as you come and go. Otherwise relax and enjoy yourself.
