Our home is located in the Racquet Club West neighborhood in sunny & warm Palm Springs, CA. We have 2 bedrooms & 2 Baths, and Robs studio room in the main house, and an attached 1 bedroom & 1 bath studio. There is a pool, gas fire pit, and gas grill available. Somebody already familiar with how to maintain a pool preferred.
Our house is about 1.5 miles from the downtown area where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. If you're an outdoor enthusiast you'll love the plentiful hiking trails, many golf courses (public and private), and being 2.5 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego! The pool will need some daily attention and our garden has a simple drip irrigation system that you simply turn off and on. During October you can expect daytime temperatures in the 80s and 60s at night.
We have 2 cats who are bigger than our 2 dogs. All four are easy to manage. They let themselves in & out of the secured yard using a pet door. So they're virtually self-sufficient during the day. Our pets average about 13 lbs each. And only present danger when stacked on top of each other. They also range between 11 and 14 yrs old. The lack of teeth makes biting a non-issue (wink). The dogs have a diet that requires mixing carrots, cheese, kibble, cooked chicken, and canned food for each meal. The cats get moist canned food at the usual meal times (8am & 6pm) with kibble at 11pm so humans can sleep undisturbed. The dogs could use a walk around the neighborhood each morning.
If you're a night owl and like to sleep-in we're probably not your best option. Since when living in the desert getting things outside done in early morning is best before it gets too hot. Please contact us with questions and concerns.
