About this assignment
Someone to care lovingly for our super gentle 25lb. mini labradoodle and to live gently in our lovely home while we are traveling. Our dog is very loving and likes to interact affectionately with others. She likes to take a walk twice a day around our peaceful neighborhood.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Primarily dog care. The house will be cleaned prior to your arrival and we ask that you leave it clean, as well. There are a few plants that need to be watered occasionally. Bringing UPS packages in from the front of the house to the inside hallway, if any packages arrive. For winter stays, experience with snow blowing is a plus!
What are the good features of the property and location
Outstanding location 5 min from downtown Durango. Lovely comfortable home with newly renovated kitchen, dining room and living room in a friendly and safe neighborhood. Pretty views from windows. 3 bedroom plus and office, 2.5 bathrooms, infrared sauna, well equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, possible use of our car. 5 minutes from trailheads with easy hikes to amazing views.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You probably want to have a car although there is also some public transportation to downtown if you are willing to walk to bus stop, about 10 minutes from our house.
Can I bring my own pets?

When we met Anna and Russ, and Lucy on FaceTime we knew we liked them right away and looked forward to meeting them in person. Their home is beautiful with great views. The neighborhood was quiet, with friendly neighbors that stopped to say hello. Lucy loved to play with her toys, and her energetic bounce made us laugh! When she wasn’t playing she had her favorite window seat that she enjoyed watching the neighborhood and snuggles. Lucy did great riding in the car and loved going! There are wonderful walks all over Durango. We especially loved the trail were the Silverton Durango steam engine train rolled by right next to the river. So cool! The Botanical Garden was also on the same trail. Just Lovely! Anna and Russ are gentle, kind and compassionate. We had an amazing time. Lucy was a joy. Will miss her snuggles! We would highly recommend this sit.
