About this assignment

Besides taking care of and feeding my 4 dogs and 1 cats, the house sitter should be able to take care of my 3 ponies. This means, feeding them in the morning, bringing them to their day grazing field, prepping the evening feed (filling up water tub) and bringing them back to the house paddock....

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The house sitter will be responsible for feeding the dogs, the cat and the ponies. The dogs can be taken for walks in the beautiful area around the village. Then, of course, the ponies: they have to be fed hay in the morning around 7.30 o'clock. Later in the morning the should be taken to their grazing/play field, which is near the house. The water tub on the field needs to be filled with water. In the early evening bring the ponies back to the house paddock. They are given hay nets for the night around 20:00 o'clock. No mucking out - this is done by young local woman. If you are "horsey",the ponies can be lunged or taken for walks, but this is not a must :)

What are the good features of the property and location

It is the ideal location to relax in remote countryside surroundings. The next small town is 30 km away (Chirpan). Stara Zagora 40 km via the village route and beautiful Plovdiv around 60 km. There is a shop in the next village. You will have my jeep at your disposition to get around.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You need to be aware that this is a very small village and should be in possession of a driving license. You can use my car during the stay. Most important: You should have the necessary experience to deal with the ponies - the Shetlands are real easy but the Welsh-B mare is more like a small horse. There are other foreigners in the village as well as in other villages in the area who will always be happy to give advice. And of course you can always reach me via Whatsapp or Messenger.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
