If you enjoy dogs and walking, and want somewhere beautiful to stay for a few days then Sandford may suit you. I need a house sitter who is willing to be at our house every night and is confident with dogs as I have 2 border collies and a golden retriever, as well as a cat and chooks. I live on a quiet 5 acre block on a council reserve, 5 minutes walk through the reserve to idyllic Gorringes beach and numerous great bush walks around Mortimer Bay, and 30 minutes drive from Hobart city.

Frank is a non-dominant border collie and easy to manage and needs a special diet, Billy is dominant, anxious and needs a lead around other dogs. Bella the retriever needs a lead around other dogs, barks a lot when home alone and unfortunately we have no option but to put an anti barking collar on her when we are out to preserve the neighbours sanity.
Our pooches are all in good health, cosseted and sleep inside using a dog door, they’re used to multiple daily walks and runs and need a minimum daily walk or will go stir crazy. Dog walking is easy as they will happily follow you out the gate to the reserve and down to the beach and home again. Once on the beach no lead is needed unless other dogs are there and often you’ll have the beach to yourself..

Toby, the cat is an inside cat and very friendly and low maintenance with the exception of a daily litter tray change.
