Great opportunity in a lovely part of Wales...

I enjoyed staying with John and Mair at their smashing place in Abergavenny. The accommodation was very comfortable, the gardens while not extensive are very plesaant and lovely to sit out in when the sun shines. The town is just a short walk away and of course there are so many walks in the countryside thereabouts to enjoy. This was an unusual assignment for myself as I normally lok after pets. John explained what jobs he wanted doing outside. They were all straightforward enough. There is no grass lawn to cut but there were quite a few weeds to extirpate! It was all fine! John and Mair are a very friendly couple and I would recommend this as a great opportunity for anyone wishing to see a very beautiful part of the UK.

Great Housesit/Working Holiday

John and Mair are a great couple and I really enjoyed staying in their basement studio. They have a charming garden which surrounds their house but isn't too large. I stayed about a week and did some weeding and cut the hedges too. It was all straightforward and i really had a great sense of achievement and purpose following two months in lockdown, not really being very active at all. The house is in a smashing spot about 5 minutes walk from the railway station and two mins from the bus station. I enjoyed walking by the river Usk and just sampling the quaint litte town of Abergavenny. It was good to meet John and Mair and I'd love to return one day! Thanks for having me :))
