Come stay in a private, lovely home in the very rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We have a large house with southern exposure, many flower beds, a vegetable garden, and miles of trails over our 140 acres of woods and open fields. The 360 degrees of views from up on the big hill behind us are stunning.
We have two dogs and two horses. The dogs need daily walks/runs in the woods (off-lead) and lots of loving attention. The horses require minimal care, but love all the attention you want to give them! Neither is ridable.
We are 6 miles from the towns of Hardwick in one direction and Greensboro in the other. This area is a center of local food and brews! The Jaspar Cheese Cave is in Greensboro and internationally known and award-winning cheeses are available in local stores. Hill Farmstead Brewery, named the best brewery in the world in 2018, is also in Greensboro, as is the new Highland Center for the Arts, with art shows, musical performances, dances and plays offered through-out the week. There is a cafe with espresso drinks and great food there as well. Hardwick is home to two restaurants, one a nice pizza place, the other a finer restaurant. There is a food co-op in town and a weekly farmer's market.
This is a fantastic area for mountain biking, both casual (miles of dirt roads with gorgeous views and very little traffic) or serious (Burke Mountain, with world-class single track is about 40 minutes away). We have two mountain bikes that could be used.
We have wifi and movies can be streamed from Netflix or Amazon.
We are looking for a single person or a couple to stay for about ten days beginning near the end of May.
