Hello, my partner and I are travelling to NZ for 6 days in July from the 14th and are looking for a caring, attentive housesitter for our gorgeous 14 yr old cat, Griet, in our apartment in Kew.

She has a beautiful nature, is very chatty and somewhat demanding of attention at meal times, but is a beautiful companion. She has no health issues at all, is an indoor girl but has access via a cat door to a small courtyard. She is not a jumper, and is not adventurous at all, so will not try to get out, but does love to sit out in the rain - so needs to be coaxed back in, as she loves her outside time.

Our apartment is clean, warm and comfortable, with a fantastic gas heater, modern appliances and a king bed for your enjoyment. We have Netflix, wifi and lovely neighbours. We are 4 minutes walk to High Street, 10 mins walk to Glenferrie Rd and 30 mins direct to the city on the 109 or 48 trams.

We would love someone to look after our girl with love and affection, and someone who is ok to get up at 5am to feed her - we’ve tried to break this habit, but she’s stubborn! She has breakfast, dinner (split into small meals so she doesn’t gorge herself) and supper after 9pm. She has a small amount of kibbles to snack on, and the occasional Greenies if she is being needy.

We’d really like someone who is likely to be home throughout the day so she is not anxious with us away, and can luxuriate in front of the heater or on your lap.

I’d love to hear from you if you are available, interested and a true cat lover. We would like to travel a lot more in the next couple of years, so would really love to find a regular sitter.
