About this house sitting position in Canberra
My husband Greg and I have a 4 bedroom house in Canberra ACT. The capital of Australia. We need a house sitter to take care of our house, our dog Kuna and our garden. My husband and I are going overseas.
Duties will include taking care of the dog (including walking him) and taking care of the house and garden. We need a strong healthy person (or a couple) who has lots of solid dog experience. Kuna is part mastiff, big and strong and a big affectionate sook. He's great with humans and questionable with other dogs (He's a rescue dog and has some anxiety) He's on twice daily medication for his anxiety.
The house borders on a park. There are lots of walking trails locally. There's a Woolworths Supermarket up the street and Belconnen Mall is a short distance. We have a couple of bicycles if you are so inclined.
The garden is not huge. There's a small lawn area. Garden care is mostly watering.
We need the house sitters to be folks who will sleep every night at the house and preferably someone who works from home or is retired as Kuna can't stay outside during the day unsupervised as he jumps the 6 foot fence (I work from home so I'm around quite a bit). I am usually away from the house for a maximum of 5 hours on any given day.
House: 4 bedrooms, high speed internet, Cable tv, Netflix, cooling system, gas stove, espresso machine, bath tub, gas bbq, wood deck overlooking the park, treadmill. Wood floors through out.
