We are looking for a pet sitter this March for a short stay. Basically the duties would involve caring for our 14 year old pomeranian, 8 year old toller, 14 year old cat, and 20 year old cat. The 20 year old cat requires the most attention, as he has hyperthyroidism and takes medication twice a day. He is an extremely easy cat to pill, since he takes his medication dissolved in "cat soup" that he loves. Has never missed a dose in 3 years. The 2 dogs are very friendly and loving. They need to be fed twice a day and get at least a 20 minute long walk once or twice a day, depending on the weather.
Our location is in the Poconos, a few minutes away from Lake Wallenpaupack; a major vacation spot (especially in the summer), and about 35 minutes from Scranton by car. There are restaurants and grocery stores within 10 minutes of our house. Movie theaters and malls can be found in Scranton. We have a car or truck here that would be available for the sitter to use, if needed. The weather in mid-March is usually between 40 and 50 degrees; snowstorms are possible, but not as common as in January and February. We live in a lake community with our own 24/7 security people. It is very safe, quiet and peaceful. I keep a very neat and clean house, that anyone would love to stay in. There are 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, so a sitter would have their choice of either of our 2 guest rooms. There is a fully equipped country kitchen, nice dining room and living room, plus a family room in our lower level. There are 3 smart TVs in the house with lots of streaming abilities. We also have several decks surrounding the house and a nice patio with a firepit. Over the past few years, we have used live-in petsitters two other times with great success. All parties were very happy with the deal!
