We are in Huonville Tasmania, 30 minutes south of HOBART in the Huon Valley. We have a brand new house which we have just finished building as owner builders on 3 1/2 acres of land which backs onto Sherwood Conservation Land. We have one cat, Chester who is 8 years old and the most chilled out cat your ever likely to know. We need someone to look after him and do some watering of our small garden area. We are still establishing a garden so there’s not that much to do. We are a great deck with BBQ for hanging out and admiring the view.
We live on a hill with the most breathtaking views of the Huon Valley through to the Hartz Mountains.
We have a fully self contained unit on the property for use before we leave and after we come back.
There is so much to do and see in the Huon Valley and we are in close proximity to HOBART with a very easy drive. You can check out Salamanca Markets and all the festivities of the town.
Just to let you know you will need a car. We are semi rural and there is no bus service. We are a 5 minute drive into Huonville but a good half hour walk. There is a bus service from Huonville to Hobart and also a taxi service in Huonville. If your coming from the mainland the Spirit of Tasmania leaves from Melbourne into Devonport then a 3 hour drive south to Huonville. There are also hire cars at Hobart airport. I don’t want to put a damper on any applications as there are so many beautiful day trips around southern Tasmania and the only way to see them is by car. There is a severe shortage of hire cars in Tasmania at present.
