My sweet boys need a friend for a week. Django and Jake are doxie mutts. Jake is an elder over 16 years. He sleeps, eats, poops and enjoys his sunshine. He is blind, and going deaf. He needs to be carried, at times, to direct him to proper location for his body functions. Of course, there is always the possibilty it will be care for Django only. Django is 7, and is a bit anxious in a doxie way with strangers, but warms quickly. they both like walks, especially in spaces they can be off leash...but do fine on leash. I live two blocks from a park on the Rio Grande, and walking distance to the dog park.
i live in a small, walled compound with four adobe casitas, so there are neighbors close and other dogs. we value and honor privacy while having community. There is a no smoking policy. There are areas for the dogs to hang and do their thing in the compound. We are in the Hot Springs area and have an interior and exterior tub to take in our amazing natural hot spring water. We share a clothes washer, and clothesline.
My house is small. One bedroom with a queen bed, with a 'bonus' nook in the living area with a full bed and privacy curtains. The boys do sleep in the queen bed, but are not snugglers..they sleep on their own side, typically.
This is perfect for the single traveller, but certainly works for two.
Truth or Consequences is a quirky, cool town. Galleries, music, brewery, and bookstores are a block or two away.
