About this house sitting position in Parkwood
I'm looking for a house sitter for my house in Parkwood. I have an elderly pet cat that requires love and attention and a home that will require care while I'm away.
Non-smokers and non-vapers with police checks and references only need apply.
My home: I have a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a pool. The house is 2km from the Uni and hospital, backs onto a park, 15 min drive from beautiful Gold Coast beaches, many other attractions and amenities, close to public transport, (bus at end of street goes to rail and tram going both North and South).
The home is a rooming house with tenants renting rooms (students & young professionals), a quiet respectful multicultural household. I am looking for a responsible person or couple to care for my elderly indoor/outdoor cat, occupy my spacious furnished ground floor room for 4 months and care for my home by keeping the common areas of the house clean and tidy. My room is similar to a bedsit with its own lounge and sleeping area, but doesn't have an ensuite. The downstairs bathroom is shared with 3 others.
My pet: Kitten initially is a little wary. He only likes to be patted on his head, but when he is used to you, will want to sit on your lap and welcome head pats. He is 15 years old, is free to go inside and outside, has a cat flap and will go outside to go to the toilet, so it is imperative to make sure nothing impedes his access to the exit. He’s somewhat fussy with food, eating small amounts often during the day.
I would like to receive photo updates during the stay.
My requirements: I would love you to care for Kitten and keep my room and the common areas of the home tidy and clean. To do this you will need to:
Daily: tidy the common areas, put away clean dishes, clean bench top and stove top and change the tea towel/s, as required throughout the day.
When necessary: empty inside bins, clean and replace bin liner.
Weekly: vacuum and steam mop the common areas of the house, put out the bins and wash tea towels and tablecloths.
NB: Tenants are responsible to look after their own rooms and are required to do a basic clean and tidy up after themselves, however, the house sitter will be responsible to straighten up after the tenants, as I do, in order keep the common areas of the house clean and tidy daily and to do weekly cleaning as mentioned above.
