Since my health is unpredictable I can´t be sure if I am going on holiday at all, but if I do I would like someone in my house for about 3 weeks.
This person needs to be able to deal with horses, feeding them, letting them in and out (they come in for the night) and mucking out. There are 5 small horses (between 135cm and 165cm of different breeds ad ages) I also have 3 dogs, 4 cats and hens that need to be fed (and the dogs walked at least twice a day).
My house is a typical sober monte Alentejano, set in 30 hectares of land with corkoaks and pine trees.
It is 8 km to the nearest town where you will find supermarkets, markets (small indoor during week days and huge outside monthly , plus monthly flee market) shops, pharmacies, health centre, cinema, restaurants and a town park, and near beaches, one of which is named the most beatiful of Europe in many guides.
If you are a birdwatcher, you will be able to tick off quite a few!
I have a bicycle you can use. There are two, but sometimes not both in working order Busstop nearby, but it is better to have a car, since the bus is only a few times a day and not in the weekends. There are plenty of historic places to visit in my region, like Alcácer do Sal, Setúbal, Évora, Beja
You will find Lisbon at about one and a half hour driving distance and the same by train
Due to the fact that we didn´t get enough rain to fill my wells, I am looking for someone who knows how to live with little water and not someone who appreciates to shower twice a day....
It is absolutely necessary to be a horsey person These horses have a past, they have been illterated and have trust issues and need someone who can read them and knows how to be safe in spaces with horses
So PLEASE do not respond if you don´t have extensive experence with keeping horses !
