We would love you to look after our cat Harvey, our house, the chickens, fish and the garden.
Our 11 year old cat is quite timid, and will be very loving of company and cuddles when he gets to know you. He is an indoor cat though is allowed out in the back garden in the morning (when we sit outside with our morning coffee), and at other times if we're there with him. We have three chickens who lay 2 - 3 eggs each day (though this might vary over very hot weather) and they love to have a roam around the garden each day.
The fish are in a pond in the back yard and require feeding every second day, and the pond may need occasional topping up of the water level if the weather is extremely hot.
We have a very comfortable 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house which is very straightforward to look after, and you will have your own bedroom and bathroom for your stay. The house is nearly all double glazed making it comfortable in hot or cold weather, and there is a large reverse cycle air conditioner to help cool off on really hot days, as well as pedestal fans if needed.
There are gardens in the front and back to water (the majority of the front garden beds are on a drip system) and pots under the pergolas. It’s a very relaxed and relaxing environment. Parking is off street in a long driveway with plenty of room for tandem parking of two vehicles.
We're in the locality of Weston Creek in Canberra. Our house is 5 minutes walk from a suburban shopping centre with a large supermarket and numerous specialty shops, which also has a bus interchange with links to various bus routes. Read more...
