The house is architect-designed Northwest style with lots of windows looking out into yards on two sides. There are patios on east and west sides. It is a simple house, warm and comfortable, filled with art. It is on a quiet dead end street on a hill west of Portland. The site is wooded and fairly secluded.
The dog, Douglasfur, is a Cairn Terrier, 11 years old. He's cheerful and independant. But runs things pretty much. He's a terrier if you know what that means.
There's a dining courtyard with pots and a bigger garden away from the house. There isn't a lot there because of deer and rabbits but I'm trying to develop a habitat garden and planting a few things to keep alive.
