We live in a detached old house surrounded by 3 acres of garden and grazing, in the village of Kilmaurs, Ayrshire. Google Kilmaurs Place - it has its own wiki page! We currently have 2 cats, 2 dogs & 16 chickens, so this house sit would suit animal lovers as well as gardeners. I'm sure lots of people would love our unusual property... Fancy a roaring fire in a 14th century barrel vaulted room? “This was really an ideal sit, the dogs are some of the best behaved and most loving/happiest I've ever met, the cats have a cat door and large fenced-in garden to come and go and play in as they please, the garden is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen with plenty of places to wander and sit, fresh eggs from the hens every day were a real treat, and the house has so much history and character, and is spacious, updated and comfortable.
