About this house sitting position in Portsmouth

We are away this year camping for 2 weeks over the summer.

We plan to leave on the morning of 3rd August and arrive back mid afternoon on the 17th

The house largely looks after itself, just treat as you would your own. We primarily require someone to housesit and look after and provide company to our animals. Looking for someone who enjoys spending time with animals. You will need to reside in the property overnight, feed and care for animals as below. Sitters provide their own food etc, we pay all household bills etc.

Our two dogs are travelling with us, however we doubt the cat is a fan of camping and suspect he would claw the tent even if he did come. He generally looks after himself mostly but does like people and will sit on your lap most evenings. He likes to play rough with the dogs when they're around so will miss their company. He is known to all the neighbours (many of whom also feed him).

We have 2 parrots who just require their food and water changing daily. They also enjoy being talked or sung to. They can talk well although are not tame enough to be held unless you are experienced with birds. If you want to try and do more with them (ie. get them out of the cage to play, not required but fun if you like that sort of thing) you can so long as doors are closed and cat is not in the room (not that he is bothered normally). They can be coaxed back into their cages with peanuts.

Other than that we have a pond in the back garden with selection fish that need a handful of food daily and may need the odd water top up if temperatures are high.

We have central heating, all white goods including dishwasher etc. We also have Virgin TV and Netflix, large smart TV as well as games consoles. There is a large TV in bedroom too with it's own Virgin Media box. There are high speed (wired and WiFi) internet connections, with good connectivity throughout. We also have a Jacuzzi bath upstairs which can also be used.

Parking is not brilliant after 17:00pm (and some weekend days), however the rest of the time you can park right outside. We are about 5-10 minutes from the centre of Portsmouth by car and are within walking distance of shops, supermarkets, main bus routes, train stations and lots of pubs, bars, restaurants and fast food places.

The house is a mid terrace house, neighbours are nice, never any issues. Small garden at the rear of the house which is fully enclosed and the animals have access through a dog flap. You may smoke in the back garden but not indoors.
