Enjoy watching the sun set behind the skyline of Toronto while you enjoy a glass of Niagara red, from a welcoming south-west facing condo. Not your thing? How about watching the sun warm the lake and the Toronto Islands while you enjoy a cup of market-roasted coffee, from a lengthy balcony?
We live in a lovely open-concept, spacious condo in east downtown - a walk or streetcar ride to shopping at Yonge & Dundas Square, boutiques & crafts in the Distillery District, Victorian charm in Cabbagetown, brunch hotspots and restaurants in Leslieville, or nature & recreation along the Don Valley and Riverdale.
Details: We are looking for a house sitter after Christmas to keep the place cozy for 2 weeks (Dec 26 - Jan 11), water our 2 sad looking plants and, most importantly, feed & love our sweet elderly siamese kitty, Miss Jimmy.
This is an ideal match for a home carer or caring couple who are relatively quiet and gentle - Jimmy's quite timid of people, so loud voices, abrupt mannerisms, will create a really distressing few weeks for her. Mild, relaxed, and low-key will make for the best fit.
Jimmy needs a medication injected every 4 days - unless you happen to be very experienced at that, our vet tech will be by for brief visits to take care of this.
Amenities - We have wifi, netflix, a dishwasher, ensuite laundry, and two washrooms. There's a gym in the building, an aquatic centre directly across the street, a community centre directly across the other street, a great vegetarian inside the building, and a damn good coffee shop a block away.
Transportation - there are two 24h streetcar stops right outside the building, each get you to a different subway line in 10 minutes. Two blocks in either direction are two more 24h streetcar lines, both of which travel the city from far east to far west.
What's not to love! :-)
