We are a retired couple and we love to travel and we love to volunteer at a dog shelter here in Miami. We are going to Europe for a month starting Feb 15th returning March 15th. We would like the sitters to arrive on the 13th to get acquainted with Mimi and Logan and their routines. We have a Furnished private apartment for you to stay in during this time (only 2 days and after that time, you will have the whole house). We are looking for a sitter, preferably a couple for our 2 pets, Logan (ours - 9 years old) and Mimi (a foster dog - 11 years old) while we are gone. Logan is very easy going and will follow you around the house. Mimi is very shy and gentle and will spend the day in her bed. They both go for 2 long walks a day ( morning and evening). Both of them are in good health. Our dogs can be left alone during the day if you want to spend the day visiting the local sites, Everglades, beaches, etc.
Our home is a 2 story pool home located in the suburbs 10 miles south of Miami. It is a quiet neighborhood, but everything you need is close by. Our home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths with a pool in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We have a nice pool area with a BBQ and a covered patio. We are 5 minute walk to a lake with a private beach, tennis courts with lights less than a 10 minute walk and you can use our bikes (lots of nice bike rides in the area). We have a nice restaurant on the water (Black Point Marina) about 20 minutes by bike. It's really nice in that time of year. Forty-five minute drive to Key largo or Everglades national Park. We're actually about 10 miles south of downtown Miami in Cutler Bay. You are also close to the Zoo, Fairchild Botanical garden, Deering Estate. A car is essential to get around. Shopping, restaurants, movies nearby.
