We are looking for an individual or a couple (non-smokers) who will take good care of our sweet and lovely Goldendoodle, Lucy, while we travel. Our home is located in the country just 2 miles south of Madison, Wisconsin. We have a comfortable and art-filled home that is full of light and is a wonderful retreat. Our house has two bedrooms and two baths, a library, two studies, and the usual array of other rooms (dining, living, kitchen). We also have a fenced in back yard for Lucy. We are looking for someone who would provide excellent care for Lucy who likes to go on long walks at the nearby park and dogpark, loves to play and snuggle. We also want to connect with someone who would also care for our home as they would their own, keeping it neat and tidy during their stay. We will have vet and maintenance resources available along with local contacts should any issues arise.
Our interest in using this site is to connect to other people who love dogs and would like to stay in the Madison area. We like the idea of home stay in exchange for dog care, so ask that no professional pet sitters contact us.
We live just 2 miles from Madison. Madison is home to the University of Madison, the state Capitol, and a wide array of wonderful restaurants, museums, music venues and other events. Locally, for the sports-minded, there is cross country skiing, hiking, skating, rock climbing and boating. For more urban experiences, you'll find Chicago, which is just 2 and half hours away, will meet all your needs. Our current search is for a trip we have planned in December and January, but we also travel on a regular basis and will post other opportunities.
