About this house sitting position in Merthyr tydfil

Hi, we are Emma and Abi. We are looking for a single person or couple to look after our two dogs. They are called Beatrice and Betsy-Barbara. Bea is a 4yr old black Labrador. She is very loving and a real sweetheart. Betsy-Barbara is a little Romanian rescue. She is 3yrs old and is spirited and funny. We’re not sure what breed she is but we’re pretty sure a chihuahua was involved somewhere along the way! They both enjoy walks on the lead. They are both slightly cautious around other dogs. They are both healthy and looking after them is pretty straight forward.

We have a four bedroom detached house with loads of character in Dowlais. Dowlais is on the outskirts of Merthyr Tydfil. We are a short distance from the beautiful Brecon Beacons. It is a 15 min drive to Pen-Y-Fan the second highest mountain in wales. The Brecon Mountain Railway is a twenty min walk away, and several beautiful walks are within 5 miles of the house. Merthyr has a cinema, shopping village, Trago Mills and several bars/restaurants. Slightly further away (40 mins) are stunning beaches like Porthcawl, Barry Island and Aberaffon. North of us are the stunning market towns of Brecon and Hay-on-Wye. The house has a newly fitted kitchen, lounge, music room dining room, bathroom and four bedrooms. It has a huge wooden staircase and large stained glass window. We have a wood burning stove and also gas central heating. The house has a layered back garden with a garage and drive at the top.

The house looks out over a large parkland called The Cwm, so there is no problem looking for a quick dog walk. Read more...
