My husband & I will be traveling to the US for about two 1/2 weeks from December 16 to January 4. We are looking for a sitter or sitters to stay in our home and care for our two cats and plants.
We have lived in San Miguel de Allende for 10 years. This beautiful, famed colonial town is about a 3.5 hours drive north of Mexico City and has been voted Conde Nast #1 best small city in the world 3 years in a row.
The house is located in a quiet, secure neighborhood, about a 20 minute walk to the historical and cultural center with its popular "Jardin", cathedral (Parroquia) and lots of artesanal shops, cafés and restaurants. There are small tiendas in our immediate neighborhood and a big "mercado" full of small shops selling everything imaginable.
The two floor house has several terraces with great views of the colonial town, and mountains. San Miguel is a mountain town feet altitude), a world heritage site with cobble-stone streets, colonial architecture, and lush flowering trees & vines. The climate is one of it's amazing features with lots of sunny, warm days and cool nights.
You will be able to use the ground floor bedroom and ensuite bathroom, kitchen / dining/ living room and of course terraces and garden. There is also a small casita that you could use if needed. Our bedroom, bath and studio are on the 2nd level.
You can swim in the natural pond, surrounded by a lush garden newly planted with local trees and grasses.
There is fiber optic WiFi in the whole house, washer and dryer and all modern amenities.
Our cats, Chuy and Dweezil, like to hang out in the garden and come in and out through a cat door as they please. The high walls of the garden keep them safe.
Your responsibilities will be to care for them and care for the plants. Weekly maid service is provided. All utilities are paid.
