We are a couple in our 30’s seeking pet and housesitting for our two precious fur babies. Our preference is for a retired couple, WFH couple or two people with own transport as a contingency. We are happy to consider other people especially if you are based in Canberra or have family/friends in Canberra and surrounds for support if required. At this stage, we will not consider anyone with pets or small children for safety and wellbeing reasons of our pets. Our core requirement is our pets don’t miss us and are well loved.

We would also like a meet and greet closer to the date and a video chat leading up to the sit. We ask you send us pictures every few days (WhatsApp/Messenger) as we are travelling overseas and would like to check in and answer any further questions you may have along the way.

A detailed manual will be provided so you feel comfortable and well informed. We are renting in a standalone low set home with professional garden landscape. There’s room to park two cars outside in the driveway. We have a larger than usual TV with Netflix to keep you entertained.

Honey – Chihuahua Cross with Tibetan Spaniel is 10 years old. Mya our domestic short hair cat is 11 years old. Honey is our Velcro baby and live surveillance unit and loves to be with us. Mya loves to spend her days sleeping inside and outside in her many beds and relaxation spots and generally comes for cuddles at night in bed or when in mood. Honey is quite active and loves her daily walks and play ‘ball’ with her toys.

Both have access to beds and sofas and both usually cuddle/sleep with us in bed especially in Winter. You must be okay if they decide to spend the night in your guest bed especially Honey who sleeps in our bed. Both can use and have access to doggie doors and are fairly low maintenance otherwise. They are not to be left alone overnight.

Canberra is a nature lovers paradise with plenty of wineries to explore nearby. The area of Dunlop is stunning for walks. October is a good transition point to see the foliage come to life with colours. We look forward to hearing from you!
