My name is Carmen and my cat’s name is Amadeus. We live in Qld, on the Fraser Coast/Wide Bay, suburb of Torquay, Hervey Bay. I am looking for a mature, honest, reliable, and respectful single person or couple, non-smokers to house and pet sit my 7-year-old cat Amadeus, feed the gold fish in the outdoor pond, as well as watering of the garden, all on bore water with sprinkler system. My home is a high set Queenslander, and short walking distance to the waterfront Esplanade, cafes and beach.

About Amadeus:
Amadeus, age 7, is a ragdoll rescue cat that I adopted 5 years ago. Having been abused and then abandoned at a very young age, he fended for himself for some time. He is still somewhat distrusting of humans but has come an incredible long way. Although ragdolls are known to be lap-cats, he is not but does love a good scratch on his back and enjoys being petted on his terms. He is a very cheeky and very playful cat. Amadeus has a very secure fully fenced backyard and secure back deck for him to enjoy. He is not allowed out of his secured backyard and stays inside at night.

About myself:
Originally from Germany, migrated to Vancouver, Canada as a young teenager, and have called Australia home now for 28 years. I have had the privilege to extensively travel which is one of my passions. I love the outdoors, creating and doing all type of DIY jobs. I am an honest, trustworthy, respectful, independent, what you see is what you get person. At age 63, am retired from my professional career. My love of learning and having a go at just about anything keeps me busy and interested in life.

About my home:
My home is high set Queenslander has stairs both in the front and back. As a very proud homeowner I have over the past 23 years, lovingly and extensively renovated my entire house. It is open plan living, has a large kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, and one bathroom, toilet upstairs and one toilet downstairs along with an outdoor shower. There is a large undercover outdoor back deck, to relax in, listen to the birdlife and breezes whispering through palm trees, as well as an enclosed pavilion in the backyard. The large backyard pond has goldfish that just about eat out of your hands. The laundry room along with a workshop and storage area are all under the house. The front driveway has enough room to park a car and caravan.
I consider myself very lucky to wake up in what is my little slice of paradise and I love my home which feels like it gives me a big warm hug every time I walk through my front door.



About the location:
Located in an older established quiet neighbourhood there are cafes and restaurants scattered along the Esplanade as well as the beach, all within a short walking distance of my home. Urangan Shopping Centre is a 5-minute drive with the main shops being both Aldi and Woolworths. The CBD of Hervey Bay is a 10-minute car drive. There is Public Transport with bus stops within a 5-minute walk from my front door.
