About this house sitting position in Campbells creek
Small, comfortable mudbrick home on half an acre. Enjoy a peaceful stay with plenty of birds in the native garden, plus a big veggie patch and fruit trees. Enjoy the garden view through large windows and
keep warm by the woodfire (we also have a split system and gas heater).
When you feel like leaving the property it’s a 3 kilometer drive (or walk/ride along a creek path) to the lively central Victorian town of Castlemaine. Enjoy great coffee, galleries, cinema and local markets. There are plenty of walking/mountain biking opportunities around as well.
The house comes with our lovely 13 year-old kelpie/heeler cross Smokey, who loves a shortish walk 2 times a day. He has a dog door to come and go from the house. He’s a calm and loving dog who rarely barks and is well-behaved. Smokey has a heart condition and needs medication twice a day. He has good bladder control and can be left alone for the day if you'd like to go off and explore. We also have a chicken called Doris.
The house includes a large TV, WiFi, coffee machine, air con, gas heating and all the usual things you’d expect. The only jobs expected are to walk and feed Smokey, harvest veggies from the garden, feed the Doris and water a few pot plants. Read more...

I had the privilege of letting an amazing dog look after me!
I also had 3 chooks, it was more like I looked after them, but
chooks are always entertaining, so all good.
Property was set up to be environmentally conscious, always good to get a sit like that.
Rotational watering of gardens, worked well, given the dry heat
Everything a sitter needs, easy to find in the house.
The owners left the best instructions I've ever had, esp the fire escape plan.
There weren't any fires around, just good to know what to do, in case.
Smokey, a true gentleman of a dog, was such good company.
Took me walking, sometimes twice a day, and was keen to keep me away from any dogs , inclined to be a bit feisty.
